Terra Firma Company Vaults

Edam
The Company Vaults previously available at Terra Firma (along with presumable vaults at other former player towns) have disappeared overnight along with all resources therein.

Many companies were using these vaults as gathering storage so potentially quite a lot of gathered resources has disappeared.

We are in the process of transferring Tera Firma to new owners. Hopefully tomorrow those Vaults will be restored to normal use. If they aren't, we will try to fix them.

Ryan, does that many a company associated with another settlement will have access to their vaults again? Currently a company only has access to company vaults in a settlement they are linked to and to NPC and never claimed settlements like Terra Firma. If it now has an owner then we won't be able to access our vaults.

Fortunately we moved over a 1000 coal and a heap of T2 resources out of company vaults there over the weekend. However considering some non-western settlements had stored large amounts of resources in company vaults there - some notice of the change to give time to empty the vaults or transfer it to a personal vault may have been helpful.

It is not as if companies with multiple towers and holdings can "temporarily" attach to Terra Firma to empty the vaults.

Is it possible for the contents of Company Vaults to be transferred to the personal vault of whoever formed the company ?

How where you using a company vault in a PC settlement you were not attached to?

Any of the "dead" player settlements that never started at EE including Highroad, Doomhammer, New Daggermark and previously Terra Firma count as NPC settlements to the server and have company vaults available to anyone on the server. Effectively all those settlements have the same bank facilities as an old starter town like Kindleburn or Rathglen. We posted a bug on this back in January and GW confirmed it was "working as expected" so people went ahead and started using them.

A lot of people use these pseudo-NPC settlements with company vaults as out of region dropoff points for gatherers and storage for haulers.

As bandit types you lot should have been aware of this smile

This is something I didn't expect - Terra Firma becomes alive again …
Thod/Theodum are the OOC/IC leaders of the Emerald Lodge - a neutral settlement in the center of the mal that tries to the first to explore the Emerald Spire - should that part of the game ever become available. We have a strong in game and out of game relationship with the Pathfinder Society.
We welcome both hard core players as well as casual players with or without tabletop experience. We have a strong group in Europe and are slowly expanding into the US. We are predominately PvE as our neutral political stance means that we tend to use PvP only in self-defence. We are not anti-PVP - but expect limited PvP opportunity with us.

Oooh new neighbors. Very close and unknown neighbors. Ryan could you take a moment and outline the steps that were undertaken by a group of players that has now allowed them to gain control of an abandoned settlement? Up until now the process has included tracking down the land rush e-mail holder and then throwing real money at them under the table until they cave. But in this case, the original owners have already washed their hands. I know the Guardheim deal went sour a couple of months ago. What makes this one sweet?

Also curious, if for no other reason than having nearby abandoned settlements that I would like to make potential plans for. Need to know what to expect if one suddenly goes active.

Immediate regional chaos! Or so this thread seems to imply.
