Thod-Theodum
Friends and Heroes of the Emerald Lodge

Theodum paced up and down in his library. The war against the Ustalavians was not going well. Thod had been a failure. He seemed to be camped in the crater now and was hardly seen anywhere else – but he seemed to be unable to stem the tide.
Pharasma’s blessing seemed to be a curse in that crater. Theodum had seen all of Thod’s reports claiming he had slain many knights of the Ustalavian forces. But come next morning and it seemed nothing truly was achieved. Well – Thod claimed they slowly did grind them down. But it was Theodum who had to replace the broken armour and the broken weapons – and it stared to become expensive.
Hiring mercenaries was out of the question. Zerr and his troops seemed to battle easier pray – and rightly so. So once again when Thod failed it was up to Theodum to fix everything. So what could be done?
He had looked in the store-house. Lodestone, coal and ore was running low. Silver and gems still piled up high – also the food store was bursting. And then off course there were words – words that Theodum could write – they would come cheap.
So Theodum got to work. Drawing up a letter to be send out.

Thod/Theodum are the OOC/IC leaders of the Emerald Lodge - a neutral settlement in the center of the mal that tries to the first to explore the Emerald Spire - should that part of the game ever become available. We have a strong in game and out of game relationship with the Pathfinder Society.
We welcome both hard core players as well as casual players with or without tabletop experience. We have a strong group in Europe and are slowly expanding into the US. We are predominately PvE as our neutral political stance means that we tend to use PvP only in self-defence. We are not anti-PVP - but expect limited PvP opportunity with us.

The very first Martyr of the Emerald Lodge (postdated) is Tequkel - Officer of the Bloodstone Swords

This fine hero fought valiantly at the side of Thod in the early hours of the morning. Together they defeated an Ustalavian General as well as an Ustalavian Hero. Tequkel laid down his life twice in this endeavour and has truly earned the title 'Martyr of the Emerald Lodge'

All hail Tequkel

Had a great time fighting by your side, Thod. That Hero took a long time to go down, but thankfully Tequkel didn't trip on his armor as he clearly did during one of the previous encounters.

Shadowstalker is the next on the list - the Emerald Lodge sends their thanks

And we have our first Hero of the Emerald Lodge - Shadowstalker. A letter of praise will be send by Theodum in an important looking envelope with an oversized seal in shiny red wax.

It is my pleasure to announce that Tagnar has earned the title of Friend of the Emerald Lodge. He has been seen fighting in the crater with Thod and put him to shame. An official letter of praise will be prepared.

Well, I did say on the Paizo forums we would take steps to get our name out and better recognized, this is part of that effort. Expect new escalation and explorations announcements from Forgeholm to follow shortly.

Way to go, Tagnar of the Ironbreakers of Forgeholm, much appreciated. smile

Tagnar
Tagnar shielded his eyes from the early morning light. His nose scrunched as the smell of a human military camp hit him. It was a long walk from the Forgeholm mountains but better to take a close look at the situation before finding a safe place to set up camp. The Dwarf shoulders his pack full of building supplies and heads towards what looks to be a small holding. Empty, possibly abandoned. Looking around he notes the terrain isn't half bad it reminds him of the meteor site west of his home. For the most part the ground wasn't a hindrance although a few mounds provided a defensive advantage to the Ustalav encampments. Tagnar was unable to find any of the Emerald Lodge inhabitants on his way south but it was not quite light then.

The Ustalav encampments varied greatly in strength. From lowly boys carrying their lords swords to great heroes and generals. Tagnar sizes up a Captain with two Sergeants judging by their uniforms. A fourth wearing a lighter outfit not quite military. The fight doesn't start at all as expected. He is almost immediately immobilized and only the quick intonation from his Holy Symbol keeps him from falling. Staggered but recovering Tagnar strides forward… as if in mud. Tagnar shakes his head and charges… not quite forward and is able to keep himself up with the appropriate intonations to Abadar as he finally shakes his enemy from him. This isn't going to be as easy as he thought.

Spending an hour studying the Ustalavs and quickly adapting his tactics to fight them most effectively the same groups went from requiring hit and run tactics to not even using any of his power without leaving the fray. Satisfied with his progress Tagnar decides to find a suitable place to rest. Seeing as how the area was crowded with construction already he shoves his tools underneath a shoddily placed cabin and crawls under to take a nap.

Tagnar awakens to the sound of metal clashing and the cries of the wounded. Perhaps the Emerald Lodge has not given ground yet. As he crawls out from underneath the cabin's flooring a Dwarf is spotted fighting with bow and sword without giving any ground to his abnormally sized Ustalav foes. Tagnar grins. This is going to be fun.

Traveled down to the crater to fight the Usties tonight. Fought for a few hours and brought the strength down from 21% to 17% before it was time to go. Unfortunately we could not finish an event since it stayed on Strikeforce the whole time. I did stay long enough to die at least twice.
