Drogon
*** Declaration ***
The Brighthaven Alliance (BHA) declares the following:

We claim the right to give the authoritative interpretation of this declaration.

We include as members the settlements of Brighthaven, Hammerfall, and Blackwood glade.

We include as a member settlement the tavern at -22,-1 due to BHA financial purchase of this territory from GW.

We include as members any company attached to member settlements.

We include as members any character attached to a member company.

We consider lands in maps BHA-1 and BHA-2 (see links below) to be BHA Territory, with alternate coloring for shared lands.

We allow gathering in BHA territory at top-quality.

We disallow gathering in monster hexes in BHA territory.

We allow hunting in BHA territory by non-members with and only with permission.

We allow structures in BHA territory by non-members with and only with permission.

We grant gathering and hunting access to shared lands within BHA territory to members of the shared settlement.

We allow traversal through BHA territory by anyone in good standing with BHA.

We claim shared hunting and gathering rights in any lands not governed by a formal, enforced declaration.

We consider Revenge of Nhur Athemon, Wrath of Nhur Athemon, and Gathering of Legends critical escalations.

We grant server-wide hunting permission of any critical escalation inside BHA territory 72 hours after discovery of the escalation.

We claim hunting rights to any critical escalation 72 hours after discovery of the escalation regardless of a formal, enforced declaration.

We claim free traversal rights from any BHA territorial land to any other BHA territorial land for BHA members.

So Brighthaven is officially deciding that the game is now P2W, and that anyone who pays $5,000 for an inn and puts it down has purchased the rights to a ring of two hexes around it? Does that mean that all smallholdings will now have the rights to a one-hex ring around them?

In accordance with the claimed rights of the above declaration, that is not the correct interpretation of the above declaration.

Edit: Wait, wait! I am a little color blind. Help me out please. Do you have the Inn hex in blue and the 2 hex radius in purple?

With regard to the tavern map image, there is no specific information conveyed by the colored hexes, other than those hexes are what we define as BHA territory.

Thank you for replying. So Caer Coedwig and other settlements on that map are also colored distinctly from the original map colors. Are those also defined as BHA territory by you?

No. That map has a color for each settlement. That means nothing. We are not claiming to own every settlement in the game.

Again, thank you for being patient and your replies.

Now that all that is made clear, I would like to clear one more matter. Those player owned Inns are indestructible are they not? They cannot be captured or destroyed now and they were planned to never be vulnerable to capture or destruction(aside from lack of upkeep) unless something has changed about them. Every other player controlled structure in the game is or will be vulnerable.

If you are basing your claim to those hexes on that fact that there is a $5000 Inn there, does that not seem a bit of a stretch? I mean you do not need to do anything at all to claim any hex that you wish to. Then it is a "You Have What you Hold" matter. How can anyone who disagrees, conquer that area and take that away from you?

Why not just claim the hexes without basing that claim on something that can't pass the You Have What You Hold fair and simple reality?

Bringslite, This is not a discussion thread, this is a declaration. Any questions you may have regarding this declaration you may address to me in private. However, as a further courtesy to you, I will answer that it is my understanding that these taverns are not indestructible in the long term. They are supposed to eventually receive a bank and an auction house, add a few surrounding holdings with trainers and we have a satellite settlement close to Fort Riverwatch when the map expands. A portion of the HRC claim that has just been posted directly conflicts with this plan so we are posting this declaration to avoid any confusion and protect our future interests in the area. We have no plans in the near term to make any changes in the designated hexes. Hope this clears this up for you. You are also certainly welcome to take the matter up with Goblinworks directly.

BL - the Taverns are not 100% immune from takeover/destruction. The location was chosen during the Landrush and cannot be changed - just like the settlements.

Crowdforger Tavern Owner -
Patrons at this level get all the Alpha level rewards, including full access to the Alpha playtest and month one access to the Beta through the Early Enrollment process. In addition, this reward gives you ownership of a tavern somewhere in the Crusader Road starting area for Pathfinder Online. This tavern will be located on one of the roads between settlements and will be a valuable stopping off point for people moving through the wilderness. The exact location will be offered to each backer on a first-backed, first choice basis. You'll work with the Goblinworks staff to customize aspects of your tavern, including the design of an NPC "regular" who always sits at the bar, giving customers a friendly face to see every time they come to visit. You'll also get a chance to choose five illustrations from Paizo Publishing's vast catalog of fantasy imagery to hang as paintings in your tavern. The Goblinworks staff will work with you to name your tavern and design a unique sign outside. Six months of upkeep costs for the tavern will be issued to your account when you start the game. As long as you pay upkeep coin for the tavern every month, it is immune to siege warfare and can never be taken away from you.
