difficulty changing keybinds

Shadoweaver
I want to change my WASD movement keys to the numpad, I read the instructions:

;; To modify: copy, rename to player_settings.ini, and go change things.
;; Keeping in bin/Data will apply it to all unity projects.

I tried adding lines that said:

Keypad 0 = jump
Keypad 7 = StrafeLeft
Keypad 8 = forward
Keypad 9 = StrafeRight
Keypad 4 = TurnLeft
Keypad 6 = TurnRight
Keypad 2 = Back

but it doesn't seem to work. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks very much for your time

Keypad 0 = jump

I can't verify right now, but I believe the space between "Keypad" and "0" might be the problem.

The system took out the spaces for me, oddly enough. If it matters, I used a lower-case "k" in "keypad".

Any Suggestions from anyone?
Here is what my player_settings.ini file looks like:

keyVer = 2

;;
;; keybinds
;;
;; Bind any command to a key.
;; Examples:
;; keypad 0 = godmode
;; home = teleport home
;; end = teleport pin
[keybinds]

; movement
keypad 8 = Forward
keypad 2 = Back
keypad 4 = TurnLeft
keypad 6 = TurnRight
Keypad 7 = StrafeLeft
keypad 9 = StrafeRight

up arrow = forward
down arrow = back
left arrow = TurnLeft
right arrow = TurnRight

spacebar = jump

left shift = walk
left control = run
r = autorun
x = StealthMode

; mouselook & freelook must be mouse button + "drag"
mouse1 drag = mouselook
mouse0 drag = freelook

; combat
` = WeaponSwap

1 = Attack1
2 = Attack2
3 = Attack3
4 = Attack4
5 = Attack5
6 = Attack6

7 = Refresh1
8 = Refresh2

9 = Utility1
0 = Utility2

tab = TabTarget
mouse0 = MouseTarget
mouse1 = InteractTarget ; not really combat…

F1 = SelectParty 0
F2 = SelectParty 1
F3 = SelectParty 2
F4 = SelectParty 3
F5 = SelectParty 4
F6 = SelectParty 5

; UI
c = Character
i = Inventory
f = Feats
p = Paperdoll
m = WorldMap
F10 = events
F11 = achieve
enter = chat
pause = DebugConsole
F15 = DebugConsole

That looks more like my default.player_settings.ini than my player_settings.ini (created with the /ExportKeybinds command), which is, in its entirety:
==========
[keybinds]
keypad8 = forward
keypad2 = back
keypad4 = turnleft
keypad6 = turnright
keypad1 = strafeleft
keypad3 = straferight
keypadplus = jump
leftarrow = walk
downarrow = run
pageup = autorun
keypad0 = stealthmode
mouse1 drag = mouselook
mouse0 drag = freelook
keypadminus = weaponswap
alpha1 = attack1
alpha2 = attack2
alpha3 = attack3
alpha4 = attack4
alpha5 = attack5
alpha6 = attack6
alpha7 = refresh1
alpha8 = refresh2
alpha9 = utility1
alpha0 = utility2
keypadenter = tabtarget
mouse0 = mousetarget
mouse1 = interacttarget
f1 = selectparty 0
f2 = selectparty 1
f3 = selectparty 2
f4 = selectparty 3
f5 = selectparty 4
f6 = selectparty 5
c = character
i = inventory
f = feats
p = paperdoll
m = worldmap
f10 = events
f11 = achieve
return = chat
slash = chat
pause = debugconsole
f15 = debugconsole

Did you create your player_settings.ini file by copying and renaming the default? If so, have you done /ImportKeybinds in-game to activate your selections?

PFO won't automatically read anything except the default.

Highlighting that part in case you missed it.

I also very strongly recommend you start by using the /ExportKeyBinds command, and working with the player_settings..ini file that command creates.

What is the /ExportKeyBinds command? where would I find the format to use it?

now have it working with your set of keybinds as the default_player_settings file in my /Pathfinder Online folder

Here is the setup I want, where should I put it and what should I name it?
