Unable to connect to either alpha.goblinworks.com or goblinworks.com - DDoS Attack

shadowfall
Hi,

Here is our connection from Australia. I have not tried to connect to the alpha itself today as the nvidia issues raised in another thread are still a problem for our computers. The connection to this goblinworks alpha forum though is taking about 10-15 mins each time - for each page visited. Connecting to paizo.com takes only a few seconds.

This was done at about 18:00 AEST on 16/09/2014.

Hope it helps to know that it is a problem coming in from other countries as well.

Thanks

Ok let's be clear:

The problem in this thread is that the users cannot connect to the website. Not that they're getting dropped from the server. So when you say "same problem", you have to mean cannot connect to the website.

Not: Pages take a long time to load

Not: Patcher isn't working

Not: I get dropped while playing the game

Please be sure you mean that when you say that.

I don't know about the other people that contributed to this string, but with regard to Bitter Thorn and Gwyndar (you've been in communication with them over on the Paizo board), it's both. It's almost as if anything that has "goblinworks" in it's name simply doesn't exist for them EXCEPT…..we could do a traceroute to it.

That's kinda weird, huh?

We really did everything we could think of and a few other things that we found on Google searches (like release/renew IP)…and they're still shut out.

They're anxious to hear anything from you, though. I'm pretty sure Bitter Thorn keeps that page up and refreshes it every couple of minutes. smile

Thank you Ryan, to clarify I cannot connect to the website; and I cannot connect to the game.

I saw on the Paizo threads you stated you are aware of the issue and that you working on it. I very much appreciate that communication.

Could you please share what worked in fixing your issue?
Ryan Dancey
Their IP addresses were blocked in the firewall for excessive connection attempts on Sunday.
