Bob, Would it be easier or easy enough to duplicate the search function and tier filters from the AH in the vault system?
Although would probably need to change the default or have a limit of list size (not load list if over a threshold) so it doesn't have to load the whole list first and maybe force filtering first?

We might do something along those lines, but there's enough UI work and other changes involved that it won't exactly be easy. And you're right, a large part of the problem is that you have to load everything up first before even being able to apply the filters. We may need to do something first like ask for the list and then either get the complete list if it's below some threshold or just get back "List Too Long, Please Filter (or Filter Further)". That way we can just go ahead and display things when they're short enough to not be a problem, but get to filtering quickly when it's needed. Not sure how much work is involved, but things are definitely getting painful enough that it'll be worth the effort to fix it right.

Yeah, we'll probably have to look into vault optimization/improvement very soon.

Hey Bob - can you enchant ONLY 20/20 durability items or does durability not matter?

There aren't any durability restrictions. You just wind up with an enchanted item at the same durability score as the original item. I wouldn't recommend enchanting items that have durability hits as a general rule, but it is an option and I'm sure there will be plenty of times where doing so makes perfect sense.

Yes, we'd like to add that. May not get done in time for the initial deployment, but would then come out in a 16.1.

You won't see your stats go up, because the boost only gets added at the moment of the attack after verifying that the target is human and the attacker is not human. You'd only see the additional damage done as part of the attack.

I just tried a quick experiment with an elf attacking bandits using a Steel Greatsword or a Human-Bane Steel Greatsword. Either way, the tooltip said my max damage was 127, and that's the most I ever managed to do with the the regular Steel Greatsword. However, the Human-Bane Steel Greatsword would sometimes do up to 130 (from the Base Damage bonus), and felt like it was on the higher-end of its damage more regularly (from the Base Attack Bonus). When I attacked wolves, there wasn't any bonus.

If you're trying those weapons out and not seeing much actual difference in the numbers, it's also possible that they were actually enchanted with +0 or so enchantments, which at your damage level might not be very noticeable. As stated elsewhere, we'll be fixing that to guarantee that those weapons would only get +3 or +5 respectively, though that won't fix anything on Zog that was already crafted.

The formula is ((Tier-1)*6) + Upgrade + 1. So, T1 enchantments are 1-6, T2 are 7-12, and T3 are 13-18. A T2+4 would be 11 enchantment points, and a T3+3 would be 16 enchantment points.

It gets a little confusing right now because you can enchant a +4 item with a lower enchantment, like a +2. Afterward, it's hard to tell that the enchantment itself is at +2, you just see it as Enchanted Item +4. Then you put it on and it's only using the amount of enchantment points for a +2. We're adding a restriction to block that, so you'll know that a +4 item has a +4 enchantment on it.

Done.

Is there anything else that gives NO current benefit? smile

Pretty sure all the other feats that were waiting on unimplemented features were removed from the trainers a while ago, possibly even before Open Enrollment. If anyone's aware of others that should be hidden away for now, let me know.

Back in the day Stephen published the list below of relative monster ranks. Is there a more current list that includes the newer mobs?

I don't have something handy to just copy and paste, but I can work something up pretty easily. Probably won't be able to get to it until EE 16 ships, so I made myself a note to look into it after that. Bug me again if I don't get it posted shortly after EE 16 settles down on Live.

Also this should perhaps rplace the irrelevant sticky?

Is there a sticky topic somewhere on this? I keep failing my search roll.

The title is: Knowledge:X Feats
And it is the second sticky in the Gathering sub-forum, it seems complained about it two years ago already …. smile

Thanks for finding that, all updated now.
