Edited my previous post. Forgot that for now all alerts when new friend requests come in while offline will just have View or Dismiss as options. Filed a bug to say that if there's only one, the choices should be Accept/Decline, but should stay View/Dismiss for multiple requests because you may want to decline some and accept others.

Friend request from Fritz to Test Ten A accepted, so you should get an alert that you have a new friend next time you log in, with the choices of View or Dismiss. I then exported Test Ten A's friend list and imported it to Test Ten B, which resulted in a friend request going from Test Ten B to Fritz. That means you should also get an alert that you have a new admirer, with the choices of View or Dismiss.

For those interested in trying out Friends Lists on Zog, send a friend request to my current main test character (Test Ten A). Alternatively, post the name/s of your Zog character/s here, or email them to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com, and I'll send the friend request/s.

Of course, this is the test server, so prepare to be brutally unfriended or declined. Nothing personal, just the price of testing. smile

The first Final Candidate for EE 15.2 is up and running on Zog. I still need to write up the Preliminary Release Notes and should have those posted up sometime tomorrow. I also need to run around reactivating several of the player settlements on Zog, since so many shut down from lack of DI since all the testing for EE 15.1 finished up.

We made some changes to the way servers start up to prevent hexes from having their buildings missing. The changes were relatively safe, and we've tested lots of server restarts on our internal servers, but we still want to run through multiple Daily Maintenance cycles on Zog before rolling this build out to Live, including a Monday Daily Maintenance, since that's when things like Settlement Upkeep take place.

I'll post the complete Preliminary Release Notes tomorrow, but here's a quick list of some of the biggest changes in EE 15.2:

  • Friends Lists
  • Dropdown action menus on selected characters and party members (e.g. Invite, Trade, Whisper, Kick)
  • Your character included in the Party UI
  • Party UI can be hidden/revealed
  • Hermitage and Manor Holdings
  • Tokens take .3 seconds to activate and can be equipped in stacks up to 50 tokens
  • Magister's Diminishing Staff is visible when attacking
  • Tooltips for Main Menu choices
  • Guild Codex Collection recipe uses same number of codexes as other expendable-based collections.

Good point. I'll file a bug to look into that. It's pretty easy to add that, but not sure if I'll be able to get any changes into 15.2 or if this will have to wait until the next update.

Apparently the T3 Diminishing Staff (Magister's) adds the keyword Missing. I'll get that pointing at an actual model.

Question: If I choose to unfriend a player, will the player receive a notification that they have been unfriended? For the record, I support ‘stealth unfriending’.

And "stealth unfriending" you shall get. You'll only get alerts when you get a new friend request (admirer) or when someone accepts your friend request. If someone unfriends you or declines your friend request, you don't get any notification, at least not in the form of an alert.

When someone unfriends you, they do get removed from your list of friends, so you might notice that (particularly if you've got the list open at the time). There are also friend identifiers in the top bar when you have a friend selected, and on the party UI, so if someone unfriends you when those are up, you might see that change. Other than that, it's hard to notice you've been unfriended unless you specifically look to see if someone's still a friend.

If someone declines your friend request, there's really no way for you to tell the difference between them just ignoring the request or declining it. We don't show you a list of people you've admired or mark them in any way when selected or in a party, and we give you the exact same feedback when sending a friend request whether you've already admired them or not.

Edit to original post:

Fixed copy/paste typo saying /DeclineFriend accepted a friend request, when it in fact declines the request. Also, /DeclineFriend won't withdraw an active friend request from you to another person. Both /AcceptFriend and /DeclineFriend are really only meant to work on admirers, so they both simply stop and provide an error message if the person specified isn't currently on your admirer list. To withdraw an active friend request, use /Unfriend instead.

Sounds good. Were y'all going to let us know or anything? If I hadn't been playing PFO when someone mentioned it, I would have totally been in the dark about it!

I don't know, it looks like our "just have someone casually mention it in chat once while Xyzzy is playing" announcement plan is working pretty well. Marketing 101, really.

If we can’t watch the live stream, I’m assuming there will be a video or audio version?

Yes, it will be available afterward on the Official Paizo Twitch Videos Page. I'll try to post a more direct link when it's actually available.
