Interesting. Has anyone else defeated an invasion?

Bob, do you know when the Bulk resource numbers will be changed in the PFO Wiki to correspond with the changes made in EE13?

I'll try to get those copied up on Monday or Tuesday.

For those of you doing the New Player Quest, there appears to be a blocking bug when you get to the stage where you have to kill some Goblin Dogs. I've got a fix prepared, but I probably won't be able to get it into a build before GenCon. We do have another new build prepared that we're hoping to deploy to Live on Monday morning that fixes a few other things we've found, but this fix got in too late for that build and we're unlikely to be able to get another build prepared before GenCon for anything short of an emergency fix.

On a related note, does this mean you've gotten to the point in the New Player Quest where you have to find a Friend of Harndon? Or just curious? I ask in part because I just got a bug report implying that the quest has a blocking bug at the Kill Goblin Dogs stage, and that should come before having to find a Friend of Harndon, so I'm wondering if anyone managed to get past that stage.

Well, assuming you just mean the dwarf who happens to be near the toolbox and might be winking and nodding in its direction to remind you to get a town crier but then again maybe he just likes getting out of the house once in a while, then yup, that's more accurate.

Also, which hex did this happen in?

Unfortunately, we have pretty limited text editing for our UI right now, so you'll see much the same problems when entering support tickets or editing the description for your settlement. The chat window is a little different in that you can always see the end of what you're typing, but then it doesn't wordwrap, so that's a little easier to do.

I'll file a bug to at least look at making that field larger for now, and we do eventually hope to revisit all those text entry fields and give them more editing capabilities.

It would appear the raid is causing issues with killing in the hex it occurs. When over the count stops and all foes killed in the hex do not "Decay away" and remain on the mini map and give no kill credits.

Was this a raid where enemy creatures attacked the holding, as opposed to a PvP raid? Assuming so, did you win or did the creatures win?

Another thing that sounds familiar but I can't find. Who is the NPC "Friend of Harndon"

Edit: Answered. He is the Town Crier NPC.

He shouldn't be a Town Crier, just a dwarf hanging out by every player settlement's keep.

Thanks Bob. Not sure where I got the idear that there would be lowered levels at publish but that they would/should be recovered in just a few hours. That was what perplexed me. smile

I may at some point have mentioned that the hexes would start recovering within hours, since the new formula means that even an empty hex is likely to recover 2% the first hour, and the quality is likely to noticeably improve in less than 1 day (thus technically within hours instead of days, even if that's quite a few hours). That's a pretty big contrast to the old formula, where it was likely to take 8 hours just to recover the first 1%, and there probably wouldn't even be a quality change for at least 2 days.
