Many thanks for all the good points. I'll add them to the bug database to be reviewed for future builds.

On a separate note, if anyone out there can do (or already has done) some testing on a Mac, it would be great to hear how that version is working out for you.

A new build (EE 10.2b) is up on Zog. If you have a chance to test it, please post any comments here.

Also, a big thanks for all the bug reports provided so far on 10.2 and 10.2a. We weren't able to fix everything in time for these builds, but we were able to sneak a couple more fixes into 10.2b, including fixing some more simple typos and incorrect instructions (the various instructions for bringing up Feats should now all properly say to press F). We really couldn't have gotten this as clean as it is without all your help, and we'll get all the unfinished reports into our bug database to be dealt with in future builds.

We've posted a blog to fill you in on the current state of Pathfinder Online.

Though text changes are relatively low risk, we generally play it completely safe and make as few changes as possible (preferably none) when we move from Zog to Live. Hopefully we won't find anything on Zog that requires the overhead of making and testing a new build. It's always a bummer knowing you have to put out a build with bugs you could have easily fixed, but we console ourselves with the knowledge that we can get them fixed in the next build.

You are correct that many of the errors you pointed out are fairly easy to fix (particularly the text ones), and we deeply appreciate you reporting them in so much detail. We got through a great deal of your earliest grammar fixes from the 10.2 reports before we hit the deadline for merging in changes. The Fighter Tutorial reports came in closer to the middle of your reports and couldn't all be completed in time. After that, we had to restrict ourselves to only showstopper issues. Unfortunately, that leaves a lot still remaining, and we'll have to get to those in an upcoming build.

Ultimately, that is one of the problems with the testing on Zog. We pay very close attention to any bug reports that come in, but we generally have to divide them into things we can trivially fix in time to ship, things we absolutely have to fix before shipping, and things that will have to wait for future builds. Because every change risks breaking the build and further delaying us from shifting focus to the next milestone, we tend to have to put a lot of things in the future build category.

For 10.2a, there's no need to re-report bugs you already found in 10.2, unless you consider them showstoppers.

The web site links have been fixed, so you can now download new clients if needed.

That issue only affected fresh downloads. The patcher was working just fine, so no need to stop testing.
Bob
The links for fresh downloads of the Test Server Client do appear to be broken. We'll get those fixed as quickly as we can.

We have noticed one small issue that crept in between 10.2 and 10.2a: Nhur Athemon's green crystals are currently invisible. Their effects are still visible, so you know where they are, and you can still select them as targets. Visible or not, they're still quite dangerous.

10.2a is now available on Zog. If you have a chance, please test it out and post your feedback here. We've fixed a large number of the issues you reported from 10.2, particularly those reported for the tutorials.

Have at it!
