One thing I noticed is all the escalation hexes around Goblinville and Wolfdale are multiple goblin raids and one broken men. Can we get something higher in there, like Usties, Molochs, Duegar, or something more T2 range? Maybe T3 but I suspect the slowness of the Alchemist offensives coupled with the DOT/Debuffs to self would make Ninjas way to deadly.

Done and done. There's now a good mix of higher-end escalations in the nearby monster hexes, and of course you can always find a mix of lower-end mobs in the wilderness hexes.

With the sequences in Staalgard 1-6-6 and Sylva 4-4 completed, only 8 remain:

  • Succinct Prime 3-3-4: Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 0 strength.
  • Unassigned (Fort Ouroboros 2-3): Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 5926 strength.
  • Sylva 2-3: Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 22273 strength.
  • Unassigned (Fort Ouroboros 6-6): Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 24166 strength.
  • Canis Castrum 4-4: Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 29834 strength.
  • Unassigned (Fort Ouroboros 3-3-3-4): Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 60849 strength.
  • Greystone Keep 3-3: Currently on escalation 25 (Elite Dark Elves) at 66494 strength.
  • Sunholm 5-5-6: Currently on escalation 21 (The Wrath of Nhur Athemon) at 50000 strength.

With so much rain here in Redmond/Seattle, I just can't bring myself to have it rain in-game. There is no other explanation for the long drought in the Echo Woods. None whatsoever.

Now that everyone's completely satisfied with that answer, back to sacrificing mobs in my name, lest my beneficence turn to wrath!

The Settlement vaults in Goblinville, Ogreville and Wolfdale are now stocked with Alchemist's Tools.

In some games respecs come at an XP cost, for example if you respec a character with one million XP they only get 950,000 back to play with. Is that happening here or is it a straight out pay your money and get to swap out your training sort of thing ?

We haven't decided exactly how this would work. I can say we're not looking for respecs to have overly punishing consequences. Taking a percentage of XP during the respec is certainly possible, but might cross that line, particularly if there are already other inherent consequences like losing achievements and not getting refunds for the coin paid to train.

I'll get some Alchemist's Tools deposited in those vaults today. I can also activate the test characters, just send email to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com with the names of any test characters you'd like activated and I'll take care of it. I believe they'll stay active indefinitely because test characters don't get run through the billing system, which is where actual characters get deactivated.

We probably won't have much time to finalize the respec plans until the Alchemist has shipped and we've finalized the plans for spreading escalations. We do still plan on implementing some form of respec, but haven't decided on the exact form it will take.

I am not sure if we need some trainee weapons available when the combat alchemist goes live, but at least it would be nice if Zog could be stocked with some basic combat alchemist weapons so we could test it out. I ran around on zog for a few hours but got no recipes so it was starting to feel like a waste of time. smile

I've stocked the Settlement vaults in Goblinville, Ogreville and Wolfdale with pretty much everything Alchemists, or anyone else for that matter, would want, including recipes and expendables. If you're not already a member of one of those settlements, send email to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com letting me know which character you're playing on Zog and I'll put you in one of them. Goblinville is generally a good choice as the closest to Thornkeep, but I'm also happy to meet in-game and teleport your character to the settlement of your choice. I can also set you up with XP and achievements to make advancing a lot easier.

My bad, forgot those details were in the help text and didn't edit that when the prices changed. The in-game price for a month of game time is now 550 Azoth, so 1/3 the previous price. As others have mentioned, the idea is for it always to be just a little more expensive to purchase months with Azoth than it is to simply purchase months through the store or through a subscription. You'd generally only want to use Azoth to purchase months if you got some from somebody else through a trade/gift.

The reason I asked about a new tutorial in TK was for the trainee weapon and implement. Without the tutorial camp we will need to make our own new weapons and implements, right?

That is true, there wouldn't be any equipment available until the recipes are found, learned and then used to craft some. I suspect that won't take very long, but I'll consider stocking the Thornkeep Auction House with some Trainee equipment initially. I believe we stocked other low-level items early on to get things rolling and that it worked out pretty well.
