Some players have reported that their characters on Live have started all showing as Not Training. If this happens to you, please contact us at customer.support@pathfinderonline.com so we can track down the issue more quickly and so we can be sure to correct any lost XP once any underlying issues have been fixed.

Could you fix the Test server so that subbed accounts act as subbed accounts on the Test Server?

Not quickly, unfortunately. Once we do all the character conversions with OE 1, which may be as early as tomorrow morning if we're extremely lucky, we'll have to revisit Zog and see what we can do to make it easier for anyone playing there to keep their characters active. In the short run I'll be able to manually give test months to anyone actively using Zog on request, but that also needs to wait for the conversion.

FYI, there is now a Spellcrafter Structer on Zog. It's right by the bank in Goblinville, very hard to miss.

Then Why not do it half way, change the current original 50% and the proposed 100% to 75% and this way the scale can be seen on which way it should be tipped.

I considered that, but there isn't currently a Drained 75% set up, which meant a mix of implementation and testing work before I could even apply it to this feat. Not particularly difficult, just some extra time involved. I also felt like part of the missing analysis here was "what was the effect of the ammo change alone," so I wanted to essentially reverse this change while still keeping all the changes specific to adding ammo.

But other balance issue still need addressing; Heavy Weapons, Longbows, tokens, consumables.
A big ones that needs fixing is the Feuding/raiding/Capture system and closing loops holes that get used when feuds are on.

And one thing I would like is being able to track influence down to the nearest 10th of a whole number so I can see my progress in getting influence better.

Agreed, those all need work or would be good additions. I'll add comments on them to the bug database, but the difference between them and this is that those all still need tracking down and have an unknown amount of work involved, where this was something I'd already looked into a while ago and could make simple changes quickly. Prioritization is harsh, but necessary.

Mage tanking never worked the way people in these forums claimed it did, and a simple examination of the numbers involved should have revealed that.

While the conversation around mage tanking brought this combo to my attention, it wasn't actually the reason I made the change. My concern was more that this particular combo was overpowered for one-on-one PvE combat, allowing mages to safely take on far tougher mobs than intended. It's not the only attack or combo with similar issues, but in my original tests, changing Drained to 50% mostly made it a little less predictable, while still effective. My mistake was not noticing the additional effects as ammo went in around the same time, and not realizing that was turning the Drained 50% into overkill.

Oh, I'm sorry…. I must have been sleeping on a game with only 35 or so people still actively playing it. When exactly was it crowd forged to capitulate to the Inner Circle and give them back their Mage Tank cheese wiz?

Agreed, The Mage Tank Cheese combo must stay the way it is in EE17,
and never be put back to it's broken values and state ever again.

That combo won't be going all the way back to what it was pre-ammo. For one thing, there's a bug with the cure aspect that keeps it from getting ammo bonuses, so it's getting nerfed by accident for the moment. Also, ammo results in occasional reload delays, which can throw the timing off quite a bit. Add on that these are very fast attacks that burn through ammo quickly and we're pretty sure this won't be as OP as it was before. With all the variable involved though, the only way to really find out how it works out in-game is to give it a try.

Sadly, the rabbits did turn into Bunny Lords, but we bravely ran away and figured out a way to peacefully coexist. I for one welcome our new rabbit overlords. With their superior guidance we can now announce:

Phase 2 is GO! Zog is now running the Release Candidate for OE 1. For the moment there's a limited amount everyone can play with the new Per Character Subscription part, since doing so requires a partial conversion of your account and puts you in kind of a weird state. However, you can generally see how the UI flows, right up until the point where you try to make changes to your subscription, like changing your Reactivate Automatically setting, or Activating a character. At that point you'll be told that your account isn't ready yet. Partial conversions are riskier than the full conversions we'll do when we're ready to deploy on Live, so we're probably going to restrict that to our disposable test accounts.

Meanwhile, there are a few other things that can be checked out, like the new Character Creation flow (you return to the Character Selection screen first, so you can immediately set twins or select premium items to bring in with you), the new Spellcrafter Structure (I'll get one placed somewhere shortly), Chill Touch returning to Drained 100%, and some other minor fixes (I'll also get the complete Release Notes typed up soon, probably tomorrow). However, the main thing is that you should be able to upgrade to the new test client by just running the test patcher as usual, and you shouldn't experience any weirdness trying to get logged in and into the world. If anyone does run into trouble, or wants test server access, just send email to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com.

Completely under control. Who ever heard of anything going wrong with a bunch of caged raptors?
Bob
Apparently a different bunch of raptors were waiting on Live, resulting in another batch of incorrect emails when the billing ran for real this morning. These ones are a little more obviously wrong, in that they say accounts will be deactivated in negative days, usually a very large number of negative days. Sorry for any confusion, and we'll take care of those raptors right away.

So far things are looking pretty good with Phase 1, but now the rabbits have gotten into the build process that makes our installers. As soon as we can sort that out, we'll get the latest build up on Zog. That will probably be sometime after Daily Maintenance tomorrow, assuming there aren't too many rabbits in there.
