Last day (and night) to get your bids and revisions in before tomorrow's Daily Maintenance. Increase your bids if you found more Blessings, add on smaller bids for other hexes if you're open to second choices, make sure any issues I've pointed out about your bids are cleared up, and finally cross your fingers and hope for the best. Good luck to everyone!

For those of you coordinating multiple bids, whether with other players or just between your own characters, be aware that I'll treat each bid as totally separate and bidding against each other even if I'm aware that it's intended as part of a coordinated effort. There are advantages and disadvantages to different ways of coordinating such bids, particularly in terms of whether you include the same hexes on each bid or whether you put hexes in the same priority order. I leave the exercise of determining the ideal method of coordination for each situation to you, dear readers, just know that I won't be taking the intended coordination into account when picking winners or setting the final prices.

Just under three more days to get in your bids, but I really recommend getting them in today so we have the weekend to work out any issues. I've replied to all the bids that came in, so if you haven't heard from me yet, check your junk mail folders and/or reach out to me again to make sure your bid gets recorded.

Finished testing the newly-reclaimable hexes around Fort Inevitable and the water running from Canis Castrum past Succinct Prime. Everything looked good so we returned the Test Server to its usual list of hexes. Any characters who got moved around while the southwest hexes were running should get returned automatically to one of the standard Zog hexes, but let me know if any of you need some teleports or other help getting back to where you once belonged.

Because so much of OE 2.5 involves hexes that aren't normally available on the Test Server, we're going to change the map list to bring up a southwesterly portion of the map temporarily. The Test Server is down for a moment to make the change, and when it comes back up any characters that log in should be teleported to running hexes. There won't be a lot to access over there, and we're planning to leave it up just long enough to take a quick look at the added water and at the newly-claimable hexes around Fort Inevitable. Once we're done with that, we'll switch everything back to the usual Zog map, and any characters who were briefly in the southwestern hexes should get teleported back when they next log in.

In case this doesn't come across clearly in the rules, each bid represents either a company or a settlement, not both. This means that most settlements are eligible to put in at least two bids, one from the settlement itself (using an active settlement owner) and one from the founding company (using an active company leader). As long as those use two different active characters, and put their resources in two different vaults, they meet the requirements. If the settlement has banner companies, each of those can submit bids as well, and feel free to create more companies if needed.

I don't recommend splitting the Blessings up between those bids, unless you're just not willing to pay more than a certain number of Blessings per hex. I do however recommend taking advantage of this to put in coin-only bids across the board. They may not seem super-competitive, but you never know what will happen depending on how different bidders prioritize different hexes.

I also want to reiterate that you don't want to wait until the last minute to send in your bids. Many of the bids sent in so far have required some back-and-forth to work out issues that could have invalidated the bids. I won't be able to ask for corrections and have time to get them back if I don't see a bid until right before Daily Maintenance on Monday. Even waiting until Saturday or Sunday could mean that we don't finish up our little game of Email Tag in time. After the deadline, I won't be accepting corrections, and invalid bids will have missed their chance.

Much better to send in your initial bids now, then update them over the weekend if you happen to get more Blessings or coins and want to increase your bids. Those kinds of changes are unlikely to cause problems, and on the off-chance that you don't manage to get the additional resources into your vault before the deadline or some other problem arises, I'll still honor your most recent valid bids.

See the original post for the bid template and send your bids to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com.

A Final Candidate for OE 2.5 is now running on the Test Server. If anyone needs access to the Test Server, or some help checking things out once there (like teleports or achievements or equipment or whatever), send email to customer.support@pathfinderonline.com and I'll get you set up.

A little less than 1 week left to get your bids in, or to revise your existing bids. Bidding ends when Daily Maintenance starts on Monday, March 15.

There's no minimum bid, so even if you're only really interested in a few specific hexes, feel free to put down a lowball bid on the remaining hexes. If you want to avoid taking a hex away from someone who's more interested in it, just bid 1 Copper. That says you'll take it if nobody else bids for it, or if everyone who does bid for it gets a higher-priority choice instead, but won't take it away from anyone with a serious bid who would have won had you not bid for it. At worst, you're driving their final price up from 1 Copper to 2 Copper in order to beat your bid.

Been in game long enough to have learned how to whisper and reply and do some of the tutitorial. But when I try to put any of the items I learned in a hot key like bomb for alchemist there is no info I can find to place the bombs in the hot keys or how to make them.

Combat Alchemist is one of our newest roles and doesn't have a tutorial available yet. However, the controls for it are pretty similar to those for a Wizard or Cleric, so working your way through the tutorials for one of those roles can help prepare you for it to at least some degree. Where Wizards use a staff or wand as a weapon, a charge gem as an ammo container, and charges as ammo, Combat Alchemists use alchemist's tools as a weapon, bandoliers as ammo containers, and reagents as ammo. Because there's no tutorial available to hand out starter gear, you generally need to get them from other players by purchasing them at an auction house, trading for them, or joining a company that will help keep you equipped. I heavily recommend that last option, since the game can be pretty complicated and your company mates benefit greatly from helping you become a better player.

All of that's assuming the bombs you're referring to are the Combat Alchemist attack feats like Acid Bomb or Fire Bomb, which are learned at one of the Combat Alchemist Trainers. Once you've got some Alchemist's Tools equipped, you can slot those attacks by dragging them from your Feat Window (press F) to the Action Bar at the bottom-middle of your screen. The slots available for each attack will light up as you drag the feat there. Once slotted, their hotkeys are 1-6 (or just click on them).

On the other hand, if you're referring to the recipes like Apprentice's Cinder Bomb, then those are crafted at the Alchemist buildings by right-clicking on the door to bring up the Crafting Window. To craft them, you need to have the required ingredients. Once crafted, you don't need to be an Alchemist to use them, and for the most part crafting Alchemists actually make these bombs to sell/give to other characters who are more focused on adventuring, like Fighters or Combat Alchemists. You slot them by dragging them from your Inventory (press I) to your Personal Window (press P). Again, the slots where they go will light up as you drag the items. Once equipped, you'll see them on your Action Bar and and their hotkeys are 9-0 (or just click on them).
