@ Tibruzio,

If Energetic Field is still as over powered as it was, then yes you should train and equip it. It only takes a couple hundred xp.

As for when threading is completely initiated, then the option for multiple respawn points will eliminate the issue of respawn camping in most cases.

There should be a 30 second invulnerability timer that dissipates as soon as an attack is made. This s how re spawning in Fallen Earth was done (Lee Haamock being lead designer knows how it worked).

Many of us do not WANT to HAVE to get Energetic Field, or any other ability that does not fit in with our character concepts.

Posted this in the other thread as well, but I suppose it belongs in here, as well:

"Not sure what the big deal is here. Phaeros does not condone shrine camping, period. The only time I've seen, or been a part of, killing characters at a shrine was when the respawned character attacked someone upon respawning.

It seems like there is an easy solution to this whole thing:

If you are near a shrine, do not attack someone who has just respawned UNLESS THEY ATTACK YOU FIRST.

If you have just recently respawned and you plan on retreating from the battle DO NOT ATTACK ANYONE. If you have just respawned after being killed and you attack someone, or join an ongoing fight and support (heal/buff) a team-mate, YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED HOSTILE, AND FAIR GAME.

This is the policy that I have been using since I started the game at the beginning, and it has been my experience that my settlement mates have also used this quick rule as a guide."

Yeah, once you are already in combat range, stealth and perception should really be a moot point; I agree that it would be cool if they did somehow affect the targeting list, but also definitely agree with 208 that it would turn in to one of those 'must haves', which really isn't good.

At the end of the day, I just really want to see a list of things that have either targeted or attacked me. I think it is pretty necessary.

The more I think about the 'twitch' aspect, the more it makes me think it should almost be an interactable list of things that are on your mini-map; that would literally extinguish any need to tab-target OR click target, making the game much less 'twitch'. I know a lot of people won't want that, but I think those people should consider the increase in people willing to participate in PvP because the barriers to entry would be reduced. And that equals far more fun for everyone in the long run.

I experienced the exact same thing. It was unplayable for me.

Ryan indicated that they thought it might have something to do with the new target volumes, but that they weren't exactly sure.

I can concede that point, Kit.

I had this cool thought about Sneak Attack actually deflecting the attack to the nearest party member, so, if a rogue is standing next to a fighter, it appears to the target that the fighter attacked them, when it was actually the rogue!

Part of the problem is also with the animation syncs; since characters don't 'square off' with eachother, and you can effectively attack someone to the side or even behind you, it is difficult, even nigh-impossible, to have a good idea of who is attacking you.
