I could rally behind support for more reward.

I think more risk is a bad idea right now until we get a lot more nice action flowing.

Feuds declared with no intention of actually attacking any hexes, in order to simply pressure companies/settlements, would effectively disappear. People won't risk their influence (except in dire situations).

Do you think making the decision to feud prey further on the already risk adverse tendencies of the population is actually a good thing?

How much fighting do we want in this game, because right now there isn't NEARLY enough to prop up the economy.

I'm not talking about game-breaking levels of influence loss; I am talking about MEANINGFUL influence costs.

This idea would also need to be implemented alongside other incentives to holding/outpost warfare. That's what Feuds are supposed to be about, after all.

Why should destroying a settlement be a coin faucet?

It isn't a faucet if the coin already exists in the game, it is just changing hands.

Edit to add: I agree, in general, with Q. I think it is a big mistake to put so much focus on the Settlement system. I can foresee huge player-rage when the first settlement(s) fall–settlements the players have spent up to a year building.

Agree with Q and Elmin regarding DoTs; this issue needs to be brought to GW's attention.

Maybe a change to recovery is needed? Maybe recovery should only be used to counter the states (Distressed, Stun, Dazed, etc.) so that characters cannot be 'stun-locked', but the stacking debuffs are more deadly?

Many people have issue with the requirement of the aggressors having holdings; so why not simply have the returned influence be calculated based on the outcome of the feud?

ie. x% of banked influence per outpost captured (overrun) and 1.5x% per holding captured

Thoughts?

I think most people agree that there should be risks/rewards for the activities performed in the game; that is the basis for the whole 'meaningful choices' thing.

A company without a holding upsets the risk/reward balance. They get whatever rewards for taking holdings/outposts, but run zero risk…

I'd propose this:
1) A company without holdings loses all influence spent on a feud if they fail to capture a holding….

I agree with this assessment, although this cost may be a little high. I believe Nihimon suggested in another thread some sort of calculation for getting influence back (at the end of the feud) based on the number of holdings the aggressor had. I think your suggestion to ALSO calculate based on the outcomes of the feud is an excellent idea: it gives a little more meaning and objective to a feud.

Perhaps there's an easier way to get what I want. I was hoping for a list that might include anything that provides any type of bonus without having to be slotted, such as hit points or power

The best way I found was to select 'Upgrade' from the drop down. You get a lot of feats included in that list that you probably don't want, but it's the only thing I've come up with so far.

Yes, I think that is one point many aren't seeing: secondaries are no longer a waste of stamina if they aren't taking advantage of their conditionals.

Some of the combos are primary to primary, so look there too BL. I've only looked at focus, and there are several there.
