Actually, Recovery Bonus and HP/Power show up on your Feats list, if you deselect all the tabs (in the "all" tab, basically).

We aren't talking about retirement, either. We are saying:

People will have to slot ALL of their feats on their paperdoll, thus forcing them to choose between a set number of feats of each type. The benefit, then, of continuing to buy feats is that you can branch out in to other roles; but you can only ever fulfill ONE role at a given time. (without having to feat swap)

No, we aren't talking about equality with the 2 month olds. Just a sort of capping at some point (>3 or 3.5 years).

The game is about making meaningful choices. If you want to be a gatherer you have to choose if you want to be a pure gather and rely on the protection of friends(maximum output) or diversify into some defensive and offensive abilities(lower output).

The main thing I don't want to see 5 years down the road, is a bunch of characters that are out with Max gathering, 20/20 stealth/perception, all the defensive bonuses maxed, and be competent in combat. I also don't want to see a crafter that can easily make anything at any time from any facility. You should have slot feats that give you access to buildings, and they have to remain slotted for the duration of the job, lets say that a single crafter shouldn't be able to have jobs running from more than 3 professions at once.

If you want a truly balanced long-term PvP system, you cannot have that kind of passive accumulation. MOBAs are a good place to look for PvP balance. Take League of Legends, once you hit lvl 30, you have no more 'power' than any other lvl 30. And the longer you have been lvl 30, the more options you have. There is nothing you can do that increases the effectiveness of every build. For PFO lets say that 2.5 years is the 'max effectiveness' that is how long it takes to maximize all possible slots. After that you aren't just getting more options, the competitive player will start accumulating non-slot passives to maximize their effectiveness further. There needs to be a point, where you can't get anymore power, and only get more options. And that point shouldn't be when you have collected all the non-slot passives from all the trainers.

I do see what you are getting at here: one character 6 years from now may only be able to slot one 'Role/Armour/Feature' at a time, but would potentially also have maxed all the passive bonuses, skills, and all other non-slotted feats and have a significant advantage over even a 2.5 year old 'maxed' role character, and have an incredible advantage over a new or even fairly new character (which is what GW has mentioned that they wish to avoid: Power Creep).

Personally I all these thing should show up on the minimap BUT only after you have visited the area, I mean if you been there you should know where it is.

This is also what I would like to see. I don't care for bubbles floating over NPCs heads or arrows pointing PCs in the right direction, but I CAN get with the idea of having markers and more detail on the mini map. After all, what adventurer WOULDN'T scratch notes on his/her map after visiting a new place or a particularly handy store?

Edit: In FFXI you could actually create your OWN markers on your map (that were persistent) with your own notes. I know it is a lot to ask for an MVP, but that would be SO COOL.

Total agree this last one Dazyk…is for that I wrote about a beginner time. Now it's cool, we are tester (!) and we like land help on left and right…but i see the darkness cooooming smile
How many time before …"guys, can u tell me where trainer xyz is?" "in ur a***ole" "an**trainer!" "go play wow with LFR and Questhelper!!!!11!1"
"guys, how works facilities?" "ur fu****g mother know!" "an**!!!111" "kill the nooooooob!!!!1111!11!"

Don't think players interactions will miss or compromised just for a tag on minimap - in a starting area

I'm sorry, I have faith that this will not happen. And I have seen a similarly excellent community flourish. I came from Final Fantasy XI Online, where there also are no "Quest Markers", NPC markers, or anything of the like; and I cannot remember a single time where a beginner was scolded or told off for asking a noob question.

I started another thread (in Feats, I believe) that raises the point that the Tooltips (especially in the Trainers) still do not show which attacks are Primary and which are Secondary. This is a pretty crucial piece of information, in my opinion.
