I dig it, but we'll need LOS first. I also agree that fog of war for a dungeon-ish hex would be very important.

I would like to see terrain matter for more than just distance and elevation in combat.

I'm still looking for an infected hex. smile

I will see things through to their conclusion, successful or not. Worst case, we can enjoy cocktails on the deck as the ship sinks.

I am not sure people would want to make public all gathering data. That information can be a valuable trade secret, and each group has their own preferred "gathering holes" where they go to get specific resources. If that were made public, their enemies could far more easily figure out how to cut off their access.

With a moderate amount of dedication, the survey information is going to be available to everyone eventually regardless of restrictions. If anyone in each group is tracking their gathering at all, they will eventually accumulate the entire maps worth of information over time. The only thing that could prevent this is regular dramatic change in resource distributions.

I have personally surveyed all of the Maps monster hexes for a T3 resource type in the course of the last couple weeks.

I kind of like the over the top effect. Although, it would make more sense the cantrip would impede the targets vision, rather than the casters.

If everyone drops their graphic card settings down to minimum all the lights change color and flash on the holdings…it could be like a disco during the fights smile

Any fight I'm in is basically a disco. Free lightshows are one of the perks of being a Wizard. smile

We've seen EBA attack their own TOWERS. Maybe they were transferring it. Maybe they were making it so we couldn't attack it that night while we were on a roll.

Rewards falling from outposts or holdings that the GAME delivers (as compared to being stored there) is way too easy to exploit.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of PvP party rewards. We just have to think of something harder to exploit.

We have had a few friendly takeovers. It was necessary because there is no non-hostile means of ownership transfer.

Thought the hex 1 north of brighthaven was coal..smile

Looks like you are right, I did not know about that one. I'm not a miner though, so that's not a surprise. Regardless, I know several TSV miners go a fair distance to harvest coal, so I'm assuming that nearby coal hexes are either too heavily taxed by three large population settlements, or have too low of a drop rate to be worth the time.

Anyway lets get back to naming the mountain, if you want to continue this discussion make a new thread in the gathering forum. Sorry to derail your thread Memory.

In honor of Beinion's sometimes hilarious and sometimes cringe-worthy typing skills, I suggest Mount Chetel.

"All Resources You'll Ever Need Are 1 or 2 Hexes Away Mountain"

i'd prolly just shorten that to "OP Mountain"

I'm honestly not sure what you guys are talking about. There are quite a few critical materials we need to harvest from other areas of the map. Notably, Coal, Pine/Oak, Pitcher Plant Sap (we have some but the drop rates are so low it is more time efficient to run across the map).

it does actually look like a kitty. there's a head, two nubby paws, and a long tail. the zombie part is arbitrary though.

Neat. I'll have to check that out next time I'm up there.
