Thanks Stephen! Chain stunning .. that pretty much sums it up I guess. And that using a Freedom token doesn't seem to either last very long if it is working at all. 2 alphas and one more wolf means I never get an attack off at all because I guess they bump each other out of the way and then re-engage.

And while still probably should be in different thread, just a note that applying the token leads to a cooldown timer so the effect is either lasting 1 round or something .. why else would there be a timer when you activate the token?

Then I'm very confused because I thought I was using the Freedom tokens and still immediately being taken down by the wolves. Is there some gear I also need to have so the token works? At present I simply avoid any wolf pack that has more than one alpha wolf since between the knockdown and ranged rooting it is death. smile

Thanks! Is there an indicator that I've been missing? Also, I'm not actually knocked down … just assume the "stunned" pose, so I'm guess that animation is on the to-do list.

I'm trying to survive as a wizard using just cloth +0 .. it becomes very difficult with any escalation encounters (wizards/bombers/red-names/etc) or any encounter where an alpha wolf (or more than one) is present. Then it is very dicey, even with windrider.

I did check just for fun putting on +0 pot plate (I think that is it, 27 physical resistance) and all encounters were much much simpler.

I really wish I understood exactly what the attack is that wolves are using which essentially result in constant interruptions to my attacks. I have no idea what their attack is nor how to counter it effectively. And since my crowd-control attacks don't actually stop them from advancing (not implemented fully at present, see dev post somewhere) it seems a little one-sided.

Testing PvP with Sspitfire.

I used Boil Blood, and it's still greyed out after I died. I hit him with one Attack, then saw it reset as soon as I put my Staff away. It seems like this is another reason not to put our Weapons away so quickly.

And something seems way out-of-whack with using Spells.

I was trying to use Boil Blood to apply Flat-Footed, but I can't use any other Attacks at all until the Expendable cooldown is complete. That's 6 seconds after using a Spell where I can't do anything else. Is that the way it's supposed to work?

I actually have a similar scenario where if I apply Hiddeous Laughter to a target, the target is immune to other attacks until after the effect ends. Hiddeous Laughter applies a 4 second stun effect during which attacks such as Wilting Surge do no damage (nor any other cantrips). The dazed effect is applied and attacks initiated immediately after the stun effect ends are flagged as using that effect. Hiddeous Laughter has a damage multiplier of 0 .. is this overriding whatever other damage multipliers are being used somehow?

Actually I think you have to raise the quality for the blue costumes. Simple seems to correct it for most.

I had my session crash right at 9am PDT .. but the server was available again a few minutes later. I've not had any issues with any of my characters so it appears isolated, unfortunately.

I'll take Ryan at his word until he posts that what he posted earlier has been superceded.

I do not believe that this is going to be a game where individuals will build the absolute "best" PK build they can achieve and not expect there to be significant consequences for doing so. If your vision of "I can kill you, therefore what you have is mine" is really the goal of this game then I fully expect it to fail. This game is not a murder simulator and is not meant to be a game where people can entertain themselves by simply killing other characters.
