Ryan is a liar.
I wouldn't trust them, Bunibuni. Their members haven't been very impressive so far, in regards to being human beings. One got reported today for using hatespeech. Displayed exactly the sort of behaviors that GW -doesn't- want in PK/PvP =P

Agh the irony, your banned, sadly we didn't get as many kills off on you before your exit as I wanted.
Agreed Atome. And for the record, we're overjoyed that you joined our little Kabal.

I do not agree that coal is in itself a valuable resource its far to easy to mine and collect.

The only reason it acquired any value at all (as opposed to iron that you cannot give away) is the initial distribution placed the major/only sources of it out amongst a bunch of small underpopulated settlements to the west. Iron in reality should be more valuable than coal as you can make perfectly viable weapons out of just iron whereas coal is only essential for armor. It was the distribution that made coal valuable at all. Even then there was not much trade in coal, people wandered out to Terra Firma or where-ever did a heap of mining then organised to run it back home.

Possibly one thing this change HAS done though is undermine the economies of some of the small unaffiliated settlements. That may be a concern.
Who you calling underpopulated? If you're wondering, we're thriving in the West thanks for asking.

All the tower changes mean is that you might not get to spend your experience now on what you want. The XPs will continue to accumulate, and at worst you have to train up later on when you can build your own settlement and towers are long gone and irrelevant. The drama is silly. Settlements will not explode in a negative tower eruption of "not enough towers". Go out and talk to your allies. If you don't have allies, make some. If you are not nice enough company to be able to work with other people, you have a problem.

Not having enough towers will not be the end of the world, and these release notes are for the test server, and not the live server. Chill out people.

What it means is that those of us that have the numbers will have training. Those who do not, will either join those who do or quit in frustration. Once the winners and losers in this situation has been determined the winners will crush the losers to an even greater degree as the winners will have superior training and gear. I don't like either option, honestly.

Power is a resource consumed like stamina. It's that solid yellow bar on the other side of your blue stamina bar. Power is consumed when you cast Spells and Maneuvers just like stamina is consumed when you use standard attacks and cantrips/orisions. Power does not regen naturally over time instead you must visit a tavern or build a camp to regenerate it and the action/power economy simulates the "adventuring day". The higher your power stat grows the more of these more powerful abilities will be able to be used without stopping and returning the replenish resources.

This got me thinking, would it be possible to have unique names added to singular (lone) mobs that are found outside of player settlements?

There is a particular Ogre Lout that is always found on the road to Aragon, and we have taken a liking to him. Would it be possible to have at least one uniquely named mob?

These mobs could be more powerful, (purple to all), but have a zero aggro rating. If you want to kill them you can attack (and they will obviously attack back), but if you want to take a screen shot with these "local personalities" you can without fear of getting stomped.

There could be Discovery Achievements tied to all 33 (one for each settlement), and a Slayer Achievement for killing each.
@ Bob

Sometimes you can turn a typo into something unique and fun.

I really like this idea. Calls back to classic MUD characters like the Fulminous Bandersnatch and Puff the Fractal Dragon. Then you go one step further by making them very rare spawning randomly and give them very unique loot tables.smile

Last night I was able to fight a very large pack of wolves by kiting them so that they would path through two trees very close together. I was able to stand just behind the gap and fight them off in waves of 3. Definitely felt like an exploit…

Many have now joined the Kabal. Maybe it would be best if you joined too. You do know what's good for you, right? Kabal says Good Day.
