It would be nice if I could share my build with members of my settlement without sharing it with my enemies. I don't think a password is necessary for this, just a unique URL that links to the character's page that isn't as obvious as having the character's name in it – randomly generated, perhaps. That way I could link the page on our mumble or private forums but people are unlikely to guess the URL.

That could work for private characters as well as public ones, and the public ones could be listed in some sort of public directory.

Very much like the last update.

Agree with Daz. The ability score thing should add them together to get your new score for you, and putting in a character creation date to get your current XP helps the planning even more.

This stuff is fantastic, though. After a little bit of pain to get all my current feats filled in (and a bit of wincing as I reviewed the days I threw away when I was new and didn't know where to properly spend my XP) I now have everything unified with my character in-game. I then set to work theory crafting a bit. Combined with the "Bonus per 1M XP" column in the ability scores page, I was able to theorize the quickest path to an ability gate.

Very nice features – this will begin impacting the way I spend my XP very shortly.

Tuning things up probably doesn't help anyone, it will just encourage everyone to play wizards and clerics in large groups and spam AoEs to the point where there's no reason to play anything else.

But tuning things this far down like this is too much – these AoEs won't really do enough damage or have too long cooldowns to be useful in either the situations in which we use them now or any potential new application. This will make them used less or not at all… making the current system better for these attacks.

Good call putting this off until after GenCon. Here's my feedback on the upcoming change…

I think a lot of people are unhappy about the nerfs to the AoE attacks, which feel so harsh that the attacks will be less useable after the patch than they are now, which is the opposite of what was intended. I know that I personally would rather Fire Whirl risk hitting my allies than lose 20% of its damage – it's high DF makes it very useful for solo play as well as for careful use in group fights; post-nerf, it won't do anything particularly well, which hurts a lot as it is perhaps the biggest draw into being a cleric of Sarenrae.

I know that people will never be happy with nerfs and sometimes you have to do it anyway for balance reasons, but nerfing everyone across the board to provide a change no one really wants is kind of hard to swallow. Friendly fire, like touch healing spells, is one of the things that makes this game feel unique while maintaining its ties to the tabletop game.

You can also drop a pin anywhere on the map and when you mouse over your pin is says the coordinates, which makes finding coordinates fairly quick nowadays.

That said, having another easy way to do it seems reasonable, such as a small display on the map's frame that tracks your mouse cursor's map coordinates as you mouse over the map.

Strike of Sacred Strength also gives distressed if you have favored, which is easy to get from Ward of Withdrawn Favor or Divine Favor.

Well, 12 physical resistance is just as useful at T2+3 as it is at T1+0, potentially even more if monsters are using attacks with higher damage factors. But you're right in that utilities cost a lot of xp and have very high gates for what they do, making it very difficult to maintain them.

I agree that some role features are pretty lackluster compared to others – some balancing should be considered at some point. For example, I like Sun Domain's keywords that make it an excellent domain for healing, but the bonus to Perception that it gives at each level is so useless it might as well do nothing except in rare fringe cases. Some other domains are just as bad off, giving bonuses to one type of energy resistance, for example, which does nothing in 95% of encounters, both PvE and PvP.

Whereas the Strength domain gives melee attack bonus, which is quite useful indeed in any situation where you find yourself attacking with a melee weapon.

I'm not looking forward to getting a damage nerf on my AoEs. I mostly use them solo to one shot groups of whites and yellows. Sure it will be nice to not have to worry about hitting friendlies but I think I'd rather have the damage.

I second this. It took me a while to get to the place where Fire Whirl one-shots most groups of whites and yellows. While it will be nice to be able to use the attack in group combat without worrying about my allies, the damage loss will hurt in a lot of situations. Not to mention without being able to get aggro on a group melee AoEs are difficult to use in group combat anyway.

+1, good idea Prox. Makes the low-level spells more useful over time without widening the gulf between low- and high-level players.
