right now the best guys to test this with are the melee duregar. champions warriors etc .. they do an attack that buffs which you can dispel.

will try to keep an eye out for others but those guys are the easiest to test with..
if im not mistaken disrupted is still not working as intended - it only will dispel an ability if the ability has <1 round remaining - and the disrupted effect for how ever much time was left.. Unless that has been corrected i am fairly certain how it is functioning at this time

The broken armor salvaged to raw mats makes sense with what we have – It also doesn’t infringe upon actual refiners- unlike my idea above-
But it is not interesting-

I would much rather break an item down to refined mats - I can save up mats to make a new set- or sell them off to offset the cost of my new armor, etc. If I get lucky and get a +5 refined mat that 1 durability armor I had could turn into 2-3 new full sets , that feels like a system that would get much more use.

Anyway just my thoughts- if you put any work into a system like this- make it appealing to use- just salvaging to raw mats is not interesting- there are already 2 soon to be 3 ways to get raw mats- adding another way to get a few refined mats would be good to introduce ( just my opinion)

If you wanted I guess you could still design a salvage system to break down refined mats ( like the basic spell craft stones)- just not sure how much use it will see for normal gear, since we will have 3 options to get raw mats in the game already ( nodes, monsters, gushers coming soon )..

First off I say leave repair alone- certainly isn’t needed right now….

Yet since you did make a note to look into what to do with old beat up gear- how about a system to recoup the refined materials that make up that item?
If yall are considering kits- come up with Kits to break items apart not fix an item- ( can even return +5’s refined mats occasionally based level quality of kits etc)

Type and quantity of refined items that are returned would be based on what went into it and how durability points remain on the item. ( yes this is coding but folks are already asking for coding .)

If you put time and resources into this, wouldn’t it be more interesting to get a+5 refined mat occasionally rather than combining a bunch of things to the same item..
Besides some of you guys are making the case of having hundreds of broken suits or armor and weapons laying around.. and I don’t want to replace crafters with kits - So -I don’t you to repair your 200 sets of armor-

if you need new armor- break that stuff down then sell/trade/barter the mats back to the crafter

How are they going to be used in crafting and refining- How will they help- what limitations are there - etc- basically from crafting perspective how will one use azoth, what will it make etc?

Didn't Seattle just mandate $15/hr… for interns and pretty much all jobs… (or something along those lines.) I imagine the issue is, if paizo has the funds to hire an intern.. they may as well just look for another permanent position.

First off Thanks @Bob for responding- I need to stop posting on my phone I could barely understand my question but you seemed to nail it anyway..
To others - The only offer for black I have heard about ( wasn’t to me) was like 100 black for 600 victory markers - ???? -

(I say as we sit on the last two spellbooks we made from our last trade that was months ago.)

Wait, you traded 1200 Victory tokens for 200 Black? That's crazy talk! Oh right, actually contacting them and offering a reasonable trade works. Imagine that! smile

Irrelevant derailment, I was just pointing out that even among more friendly trading neighbors it's still pretty limited accessibility due to the actual problem of trivial stripping. Not trading with someone for w/e reason is perfectly valid game-play and has little to do with the root issue.

And I was simply pointing out the hyperbolic distortion of the truth that Smitty was posting. smile
Was saying I have heard of one trade offer… and that was it… so what was not truthful.?

I may have earned 600 victory markers in the last year or so- and certainly am not going to farm escalations for months on end with alts to get a few extra every escalation in order to trade for 3 spells books.
If you are telling me you are going to push resources to the point that I have to farm/grind(boring crap) for a year + in hopes that a group that doesn’t like me gives 3 spellbooks for my effort.. Just so I can use the xp I spent on my character for 60 deaths ( perhaps less if that durability/threading thing comes in)…
I should probably quit now..
I don’t mind scarcity- I don’t mind having to gather for an hour for 5-10 of something.. low security hexes are going to make that more interesting choice.
But spread out the locations where stuff is found..

Black spread it out about 5-6 hexes
Shadow skin - spread it out to 5-6 other hexes
Child stealer - spread it out to 5-6 other hexes
Galroot- spread it out to 5-6 other hexes..
Platinum – spread it out
Dragon skin spread it out
Ash Spread it out

etc
Everything can remain scarce based on total amount you can obtain - but defiantly keep it out of 1 groups control-
If you guys want players to spend 2 + years worth of xp on a role
Then have 1 power bloc dictate who can make maximum T3 use of 1 of the 4 combat roles .
And the devs listen to that crap-

Then its time for me to moving along ..

There is having to work to get something- then there is a group on the other side of the map telling me what I am allowed to do and what I am not allowed to do..
