  • Medium Armor Proficiency 3 allows STR 30 or INT 30 to meet its ability requirements.

  • Why 30 ? The other abilities only require 20.

Because Medium Armor Proficiency is really meant to be met by CON, WIS or DEX. However, Dragoon, Unbreakable and Wright add the Medium keyword at rank 14, and therefore really require Medium Armor Proficiency to be very useful. Unfortunately, while characters getting those feats to rank 14 have either STR 30 or INT 30, asking for CON 20, WIS 20 or DEX 20 as well seems like a lot. This gives those characters an alternative, though it isn't really all that lenient, since the other requirement of Evangelist 9, Healer 9 or Archer 9 requires WIS 18 or DEX 18 anyway. Still, 20 is a lot harder to get than 18.

You mean 16, but yeah, still a lot of xp getting my wisdom up that high so I could make use of Dragoon 14 and the medium Keyword. MUCH better than having to get to 20 though! smile

I really like Smitty's idea of a craftable *something* (maybe working off the current Camp mechanics?) that enables people to alter the security level of a hex for a short time. This would give people more *to do* on a day to day basis that was not tied to Settlement Management, which we need much more of in the game.

I also like Harad's idea of involving monster mobs from nearby escalations somehow in holding raids and captures to make the process more interesting and dynamic.

Finally, I'd like to put forward a motion for adding Spreading of Escalations back into the game, even if at a much reduced rate of spread. The map felt so much more alive and dynamic when the escalations use to spread and interact with each other. Have the spreading escalation affect the holdings in those hexes by becoming the raiding mob type instead of the default bandits or ogres. This might force people out to defend more often and hopefully increase chances for player interaction.

Hello traders, adventurers, bandits, crafters and gatherers of the River Kingdoms!

In case you didn't already know this, I am the proud new owner of the fine settlement called Blackwood Glade. We would like everyone to know that the sole monster hex we claim - My Swamp monster hex (BWG 1-2) - is now open to gathering to all allies of Blackwood Glade (top tier only please). Any escalations in the hex may be freely worked by all allies as well, though I politely ask that you don't snipe the juicy T3 bosses, but rather ask to join up with us to take them down!

Anyone belonging to a settlement NOT allied with Blackwood Glade found to be in My Swamp will be shot and killed without warning (unless they appear to be a new player, in which case I will invite them for tea and crumpets).

You have what you hold here in these lovely lands, and I will continue to hold and to have My Swamp hex just like I always have - but now any and all allies are welcome! Come on by and see the water and pick up a few Shadowskins, Dragonskins or Ebonroot while there.

    Cheers!

Bob, you gave a nice clear answer recently to how crafting figures into influence generation - every refining & crafting job completed gives exactly the same amount of influence regardless of Tier or amount produced. (please correct me if wrong here). I was wondering if you could give the same clear response about anything else in the game that generates influence? Firstly, is it just killing mobs (and crafting) that generate influence or do other things that you *do* in the game also generate influence (like earning achievements for various things, completing escalation events, selling or buying things in the AH, gathering from nodes, etc)? For any of these activities, is the influence generation as simple and straightforward as crafting, or is it more complicated with diminishing returns etc? (like less influence for the 988th goblin killed than the 8th goblin killed).

    Thanks!
